1. Decisions, decisions. I make them all the time, especially when it comes to cooking. Olive oil or canola? Chocolate or lemon? Healthy or cheesy? Both, maybe?
Ukraine. Let’s talk.
I feel a bit like Ukraine. Not like “Oh, part of me wants to be Russian and the other part wants to remain close with the West.” But more like, so many options. As in, “Should we really split our country in two?” I think they have it worse.
Separatists voted to break up Eastern Ukraine with the rest of the country. Something tells me that there won’t be any balloons or chocolate cake to celebrate their July 16th Independence anniversary.
2. While I talk about Ukraine, Syria is still in civil war crisis mode.
3. A new study says that you don’t yawn because you’re bored or tired, but simply because your brain is too hot and needs to cool down. Apparently yawning regulates brain temp. Think of it as your dog’s way of panting.
4. Snapchat has done a praiseworthy job deceiving customers and making them believe their content actually disappears. Surprisingly, this wasn’t the case. Snapchat agreed to settle charges that 3 AM selfies were in fact not disappearing and were being collected without permission.
Consider this a public service announcement: Once one drops one’s pants, snaps a photo and places it on the Internet, it’s public, and it’s there forever. And by forever, I mean forever.
5. Finally… Oprah has endorsed a chai tea latte. I now know what to buy at Starbucks, naturally.
