Hello Autumn.
I’m excited for you. I’m excited to wear boots and cozy sweaters.
I’m excited to listen to new music and drink apple cider.
I’m excited for chilly weather and cuddling by the fire.
I’m excited for apple recipes and pumpkin recipes and molasses. I am dying to tell you about all these autumn-inspired recipes that have been going on up in here.
Aren’t you?
Baked Maple Oatmeal Cinnamon Squares
I like these bars because they are: Buttery, but not too buttery. Oatmealy, but not too oatmealy. Crumbly, but not too crumbly. Sweet, but not too… You get the idea.
Browned Butter Maple Granola with Almonds & Pumpkin Seeds
The flavor of the browned butter with maple syrup and orange juice is outta this world. It’s light and sweet, but not overladen with sugar. Don’t believe me? Let’s just say I wanted to dive head-first into my hot oven. It’s seriously changed my life. And when I say it changed my life… it changed my life. Oh yeah, I brought out the italics, baby.
Even if you don’t like cauliflower, you will probably still like this. Because let me tell you something. Mashed cauliflower mixed with butter and milk and five thousand pounds of cheese may be just about the greatest thing. It’s sort of… The greatest thing in the world.
A sinfully smooth pumpkin pie, sweetened with brown sugar, spiced with traditional seasonal spices, and baked in a delicious, crispy crust. Pumpkin keeps it moist, replaces any flour you might need and offers a delicious texture. Oh, and did I mention that this super simple pie is actually healthy and gluten-free? Yup, just make sure you double check your pie crust, or even make your own.
Maple Spiced Waffles with Pumpkin Spice Coconut Milk
These waffles sweetened with maple syrup and a tiny pinch of sugar. Use So Delicious Pumpkin coconut milk in place of regular and you really notice that extra punch of spice. A whole lot of veganism, whole wheat flour, and plain darn health.
Roasted apples are one of my favorite smells. I wish my hair could smell like this all the time and my breakfast could taste like the way my hair smells. Wait… What?
These waffles are hearty: whole grain flavor with some serious support from cinnamon and nutmeg. On vintage china with warm maple syrup, mornings that look this pumpkin-sweet and clove-scented are lovely indeed… Especially since Fall is just starting to really show off.
Spiced Spider-Web Double Chocolate Fudge Cake
Each slice of this cake is chewy, rich, a tad spicy, and oh so chocolatey. It has lightly crackly top and is a little charred around the edges, just the way anyone likes it. Double, triple, or even quadruple the frosting recipe and keep it on hand as your go-to when needed.
This chili makes me want to whip out my dancing heels and dance to conga and salsa music. Preferably wearing a sombrero. It totally makes me giddy and shake uncontrollably when I watch it warm up in the microwave. It’s especially good for leftover breakfast.
Vegan Pumpkin Spice Granola Bars
The pumpkin keeps the bars moist and adds a pinch of nutrition while the coconut milk makes these bars vegan. So picture it: you’re just waking up. It’s freezing outside and you need something to lift your spirits. You’ll break off a square of one of these bars and pop it in your mouth, tasting the perfect blend of pumpkin and spice to get you through the day.
White Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Cookies
The cookies are pleasantly spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. The pumpkin flavor practically punches you in the face. With a little added white chocolate, these cookies are extra special and are the epitome of fall.
